The Whites of Tedgness Chapter 2 will include everything I know about the Whites who farmed at Tedgness/Tadgness in Nether Padley near Grindleford. Joseph White - who’s grave is in Baslow Churchyard had a son, Thomas White who also farmed - and possibly quarried there too.
Thomas married twice and had around 16 children. One of his sons, Robert White went on to become a gamekeeper for the Duke of Devonshire at Highlow and Hazzleford. He’s my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather. Another son, Robert’s brother Samuel White, I believe farmed next to Tedgness on Padley Common at Grouse Farm. This Samuel White and his wife Betty (nee Simpson) ran the Grouse Inn - which is still there today. They also quarried. Hopefully I’ll have this written and on here soon. JW. Edit this entry.

they were spun a bit more: Peter Bjorn And John, Blk Jks, Regina Spektor, Glasvegas, Mavado, and Sa-Ra Creative Partners are nowhere to be found. The list -- one of oh so many lists -- is also refreshingly interesting in and of itself, a fine example of a publication stepping outside of the hive mentality and coming up with something that feels personal. Even if I don't personally agree with a lot of it.
